Kosova 2003

[col-sect][column]“… And so, by default, I am a Journalist.”

I once had to explain why I chose photojournalism. The above quote is the last part of the essay I wrote in response. Looking back, I think that it over simplifies what brought me here.

I took this picture while wondering around (literally) through Kosova. While I was there I spent time with the man who ended up winning CPOY that year. (Brian continues to be one of the more gifted journalists of our generation.)

[column]For a long time I thought hat my love of Art and God was in direct conflict with my love of Photography and Journalism (respectively). I look back and see that this is a Binary, immature way of looking at myself, as if I don't have room for all of this.

I'm ready to be stretched again.

I am there right now. I love it. I bet you miss it. Where was your flat? We should come back here together someday
